Howth is a great location for a photo session or a day out at the weekend. Perfect for families and couples alike.
You can have: a walk on the beach, a walk on the pier or a walk around Howth Head and its cliffs. Afterwards, eat a fish & chips or an ice-cream, try to spot some seals (or even dolphins!), do a little shopping at the market (on Sundays) or buy fish at one of the several fish stores. There are many (good) restaurants and a popular playground for little ones!
As you can see below, every season brings different colours… not one better than the other.
When I need a breath of fresh air, Howth remains my go-to destination! I love the views, the fishing boats and the buzz of the village.
Drive to Howth Village or straight to the “Summit” or take the DART from Dublin. The ride itself is part of the adventure.
