A walk on the seafront of Greystones (beautiful, even in winter), buying ice cream, playing with legos, making homemade pizza, brothers
playing poking each other’s eyes out (just joking!), doing homework and reading books. A normal afternoon for this family of four.
Noel and Niamh realised that there were no photos of Max (3) in the house and that his beautiful blond hair might not last forever. Yet, they didn’t want to get traditional studio photos but wanted a photographer who could capture ordinary moments and the silliness, love and happiness that filled them.
I’m kind of obsessed with ‘childhood’ and capturing kids just being kids. It might be Adam (6) who just can’t wait to try his ice cream and doesn’t take his coat off, the look on his face when he concentrates on his homework or the way he meticulously pushes out the peppers from the olives.
It was lovely to witness the relationship between the two brothers and seeing the whole family spending time together, going for a walk, playing legos and board games. I know it wasn’t just for the photo session and it was a privilege being a part of the family for a whole afternoon.
Thank you all again!
